Cory Manalani brings over 25 years of experience working with teams and individuals in both corporate and non-profit organizations. Working as a coach, consultant and facilitator, Cory works with individuals and leaders at all levels. He is an expert listener, which enhances his coaching and he has cultivated a niche in helping others to constructively manage conflict. Cory utilizes a three-pronged approach with clients that includes skills-building, a mindset focus and a systems-perspective. Coaching is the primary modality as it is facilitative rather than directive, to tap into the creativity and resourcefulness inherent with each client. All of his services are designed to promote learning, which goes beyond simply informing, as the aim is for transformation.

Cory is a Certified Evidence Based Coach (CEBC) and is able to meet each client wherever they are at on their development journey to help them customize a plan for transformation. To deepen clients’ experiences, Cory also helps people understand and overcome their immunity to change.

Solutions

  • Team Coaching

We offer team coaching based on the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team that is augmented by our expertise as Organization and Relationship Systems Coaches (ORSC).

Coaching provided to teams is focused on the team system and includes a mix of group and 1:1 meetings. Any individual coaching is in service of the team goals.

Facilitation is normally designed to model skills and share tools so that members of the team may take on that role at some point. However, for some situations it is most appropriate and helpful to have an outside facilitator so that all team members can participate fully without the distraction of guiding the process.

  • Team Optimization and Enrichment Programs

We offer comprehensive programs for teams with retreats as the centerpiece. Each transformational and sustainable program is customized so that it meets the organization's needs.

All-inclusive retreats (services, accommodations, most meals, etc.) make it easy for teams to participate with very little internal planning required. The key is for the participants to focus on what matters the most - optimizing team cohesiveness and performance. Current retreat destinations include Mendocino, California and South Lake Tahoe, California. Upon request, another destination may be arranged to best meet the team's needs.

Retreats include a balance of activities that optimize the strategy and structure of the team while at the same time strengthening relationships and cohesiveness. Some unique elements include facilitating a process to assist the team in overcoming hidden barriers to change and engaging team members in the Power of Play.

  • Facilitator Accreditation for those who want to use the Five Behaviors on their own

We will set you up with the opportunity to facilitate the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team within your organization by accrediting you to be a facilitator, providing you with a facilitator's kit and offering you direct access to generating assessments.
