About Us

Mara B Vernon
Accredited Five Behaviors Facilitator and Leadership Coach

Mara B. Vernon is a certified leadership coach, facilitator, and consultant who has spent more than 20 years in leadership and development roles in corporate and higher education industries. Her roles ranged from director of training, to director of operations, to director of career & alumni services, to leadership coach. She is passionate about empowering others to consciously live the lives they desire.

Mara launched Ripp Leadership LLC, which embodies her life purpose, to radiantly illuminate passionate possibilities, in 2013.

Mara is certified in emotional intelligence, is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through The Coaches Training Institute and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF) with more than 2,500 hours of coaching. She is a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown including curriculum for both The Daring Way™ and Rising Strong. Mara is also a Strengths Mentor and Advisor through Gallup, and a What Motivates Me Certified Consultant through The Culture Works.

Mara is also an authorized partner and certified facilitator for DiSC, a behavioral assessment designed to increase communication and relational effectiveness, and an authorized partner and certified facilitator for The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team. Mara holds a master’s in communication studies from UNLV where she taught interpersonal communication and speech , a bachelor’s in journalism from Northern Arizona University (Go Lumberjacks) where she taught photography and photojournalism, and trained in coaching and leadership through the Coaches Training Institute.

Mara is active in her community through recreation and volunteerism with Colorado Young Leaders where she is a Board Member, The Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s where she is a member of the Victory Crew, and Habitat for Humanity where she spent years training other volunteers in coaching skills and where she’s built locally and internationally in Guatemala. Mara is always looking for opportunities to leverage her talents with organizations to make a difference in the world.

The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team Facilitator Accreditation is a blended-learning course that will help you gain confidence, credential, and expertise as a consultant and facilitator of this very powerful team-improvement program.

Learn how to navigate unexpected and challenging conversations. Develop instincts for when to stick to the agenda and when to improvise, when to let a debate play out and when to cut it short. This course will prepare you for any situation!

This program Includes:

  • 5-week course plus pre-work
  • Weekly 90-minute instructor-led sessions
  • Access to learning resources online
  • Access to The Five Dysfunctions of a Team eBook

Accreditation will be granted upon completion of the Wiley course and passing of the accompanying exam. Accreditation is valid for two years at which point you have the option to renew.
