Kathy Holmes, GPHR, SHRM-SCP

I have a broad HR background and a desire to positively impact the way organizations engage with and develop their employees. I believe that HR needs to get much better at bringing humanity to the workplace and supporting management with common sense, employment-related solutions. Leadership teams need to listen more and talk less, even when listening is uncomfortable and challenges conventional policies and practices.

I have spent the majority of my career working in HR compliance, administration, and employee relations. I have come to understand that success isn’t about the policies companies write (which are often senseless and condescending), but sincerely listening to their Peoples feedback in a vulnerable, authentic way, then moving decisively in a manner that incorporates that feedback.

I am inspired by a vision of promoting humanity in the workplace and encouraging both leadership and employees through relationship building, easing idea flow, and getting the right people in the right jobs. This ultimately improves the organization’s performance, creativity, and agility.
