It's so easy to become complacent. Perhaps you blame any concerns on the issue of turnover. Or, you've been together so long, what will change?
Understanding the Five Behaviors Model
Any team, regardless of their current state, has room for improvement. Teams change, employees leave, industry trends shift, new regulations are introduced....and the list goes on! You often can't control these but you can control how you address the issues.
The Five Behaviors helps your team to finetune the most untapped competitive advantage--teamwork!
Pat Lencioni introduced the concept in his best-selling book, "The Five Dysfunctions of a Team." The time has come to learn how to overcome these dysfunctions and to turn them into positive behaviors!
The Five Behaviors Profile
Each behavior builds on each other--essentially like starting at the bottom of pyramid and rising to the top of the pyramid:
To gain this advantage, teams must have:
Engage in Productive Conflict
Commit to Decisions
Let's climb the pyramid together!
The process begins with team members completing a profile, ranking the team on each of the five behaviors. The result is a dynamic representation of what is truly happening within the team. The team members explore their results in a very impactful facilitation session, often taken place over a couple day retreat.
How will we know if it works?
That's only the start! The hard work is what the team does once they leave their retreat!
The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team brings an ongoing process to your team. After you've gone through the facilitation and implemented some of your new approaches, it's typical for a team to complete a team progress report.
Consider it as a check up!
