Karen Geiger

Karen Geiger is President of Karen Geiger & Associates, Inc., a consulting firm founded in 1993 specializing in leadership and organizational development. From 1994 to 2013 she was a member of the Leadership Faculty of the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte. She holds a PhD in Leadership and Change from Antioch University, an M.S. in Education from Indiana University, and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Rochester.

Before starting her own business, Karen was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America (formerly NationsBank) Corporation, where she held positions as Director of Corporate Training and Development, Director of Career Planning and Director of Work/Family Programs

She was the Chair of the Board of Directors of Dore Academy from 2007-2012, is a past President of Women Executives, and has been on the Boards of the Mecklenburg Partnership for Children, Success by Six, Community School of the Arts, Charlotte Mecklenburg Education Foundation, Child Care Resources, Inc., Carolinas Diversity Council, Conference Board Work and Family Research Council, and Chaired the Corporate Champions Task Force. She has been married for 40 years to Damon Rumsch and is the proud mother of two sons: Adam and Michael and has two wonderful daughters-in-law as well as two adorable granddaughters.
